It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas, my favorite time of year! I love all that Christmas has to offer – celebrating the birth of our Savior, time with family, pretty white snow, decorations, Christmas lights, hot cocoa, and baking cookies. Every year I say that I will be prepared and get all of my holiday shopping done early so I can enjoy the festivities. And every year I find myself scrambling to finish my shopping in time. I spend too much time trying to find the best gifts for each person because gift-giving brings me joy. So this holiday season, let me help you get ahead of the game with a dietitian-approved holiday gift guide.
In order to make your life easier and stress-free, I have included the links to the items below. Many of the items listed below are products my family and I have enjoyed. The rest have been highly recommended by others.

For infants and toddlers
- Kendall the Kale natural rubber teether
- Kiddologic bibit – These bibs have held the test of time in our household. My firstborn was a very messy eater, resulting in many stained clothes, until I came across this bib. It absorbs liquids and keeps their sleeves clean. The stains come out amazingly well too! I bought a few of them for my oldest and they lasted through all 3 kids. In my opinion, these are the best bib shirts out there.
- Ezpz silicone mini cup – This mini cup is the perfect size for tiny hands that are still learning to drink from a cup. The weighted base also helps reduce spills.
- Ezpz plate – This silicone suction plate with a placemat is a great option when starting solids. The silicone base prevents your little one from throwing their plate on the floor.
- Bumkins baby bowl set
- Num num pre-spoon
- Mushie silicone training cup
- Learning Resources Shape Sorting Cupcakes
- Reflo Smart Cup – This flow-controlled drinking cup allows infants 6 months and up to easily transition to an open cup.

- Mushie silicone snack cup
For Preschoolers
- Kiwi Co subscription service – We have been using the Kiwi Co subscription boxes for the past 4 years and intend on doing it as a Christmas gift again this year. Honestly, I can’t rave enough about these. Their subscription boxes provide fun, educational, and hands-on activities for your child based on their age group. You can pick a theme that best suits your child’s interest. It’s the gift that keeps on giving throughout the year. My kids love getting a package in the mail with high-quality crafts and projects that include educational material. I’m not an affiliate of KiwiCo, but I do rave about it because they are so good!
- Bentgo lunch box
- Planetbox lunch box

- Melissa and Doug’s kitchen utensils

- Guidecraft Kitchen Helpers Stool – My husband built one of these for our kids when they were younger and it was by far the most used and loved item in the kitchen. No longer were my kids melting down at my feet wanting to see all the action at the counter. Instead, they were able to safely stand at the counter and participate in helping me cook. What I love most about this one is that it folds up to easily store when not being used.
- Toniebox Audio Player – These are so popular right now! The fun stories allow your child to listen to audio books while playing and they can safely carry it from room to room.
- Melissa and Doug mop set
- Hape Egg carton kitchen set
- EZTOTZ magnetic cups
- Twistables crayons
- Paint by Sticker
- Melissa and Doug Make a Cake Mixer
- Cash Register by Learning Resources
- Melissa and Doug Ice Cream Factory
- Simple Modern Water Bottle – I have searched for years for quality water bottles for my kids and I can’t rave enough about the Simple Modern water bottles. These stainless steel tumblers keep drinks ice cold all day! In the Summer they sit in the hot car all day while we play and by the end of the day, there is still ice in the cup!
- Construction plate – This plate and utensils have been a fan favorite at our house for years. My kids always seem to eat better when meal times are made fun and interactive when using plates and utensils like this.
- Ms. Food Face – Speaking of fun plates, this one encourages creativity.
- WeeSprout Little Chef Kids Cooking Set – This is one of the cutest cooking sets for kids that I have seen! This set looks just like an adult cooking set, making cooking together even more fun.
- Magnatiles – These are more expensive than the knock-off version, but they work way better! I can say this from personal experience.
- Kid-safe knives – Kids have so much fun when they are allowed to participate in mealtime prep. Encouraging hands-on opportunities when making a meal increases interest in trying new foods and counts as an exposure.
- Melissa and Doug’s coffee barista set
- Reusable sticker book
- The Wonder of the Greatest Gift Interactive Advent Calendar – Our family has been loving this interactive advent calendar for the past 6 years. Place an ornament on the tree each night beginning in December and read, as a family, a Bible story leading up to the birth of our Savior. It is one of our favorite Christmas traditions.
- Family games – Every Sunday night is family night at our house. We eat snacks for supper and play games. Honestly, it’s my kid’s favorite night of the week and they can’t wait for Sunday evening to come. It’s a tradition that I hope provides lasting memories for my children while also providing closer connections as a family. Plus, how cool would it be if this remained a tradition in their adult life because of the joy it brings them? Our favorite games have changed as my children have gotten older, but here are some my kids are loving right now: Uno, Sequence for Kids, Jenga, Guess Who, Checkers, and puzzles.

- Ember mug – In my opinion, this is truly the perfect gift for a mom. If you are a mom who is constantly reheating your coffee in the microwave (aren’t all moms?) then this is a must! Yes, they are pricey and I wasn’t sure that they were really worth the money until I was gifted one of my own. Now I won’t go without. It keeps my coffee at the exact temperature I want which I set by the app on my phone. I drink hot coffee all morning long now!

- Monat Berry Refine Scrub
- Bath bombs
- Monat body lotion
- Monat exfoliate and refine body scrub

- Nice slippers
- Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask
- Air pods
- Simple Modern Water Bottle – Stanley cups are obviously highly recommended, but I personally love the Simple Modern water bottle.
- Yummy Toddler Food: Dinnertime SOS cookbook
For Dads
- Tall men’s socks – I had to throw it in here because I’m guessing there are other people in the same boat as me. My husband is 6’7″ and finding anything in his size that truly fits well is a challenge. Including socks! I didn’t realize that purchasing socks would also be so difficult. So when I discovered this company I was excited to have another option. This sock company was started by two brothers who lost their dad in 9/11 and decided to create socks for tall guys. 10% of their earnings go to charity.
